Luc Giasson holds a master's degree in structural engineering. He has been passionate about woodworking since childhood, culminating in the design and construction of solid wood frames.

His engineering and building technology training, combined with his practical experience, allows him to offer unparalleled expertise from design to completion.

His knowledge of wood properties is highly valued by his clients. This expertise extends to many facets of this broad field, including structural strength, solid wood frames, log homes, traditional joints, metal connectors, covered bridges, and even Japanese-style joints and houses.

Luc is a member of several professional associations: Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Professional Engineers Ontario, the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec Order of Engineers), the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists, Engineers and Geoscientists New Brunswick, the Timberframers Guild, the Timber Frame Engineering Council, and the Canada Green Building Council. He also possesses project management skills and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Luc has a strong interest in sustainable and environmentally friendly building construction. Driven by curiosity, he pursued further studies in this field, culminating in his LEED AP (LEED Building Design and Construction) designation from the U.S. Green Building Council. As a structural engineer, Luc has contributed to the development of numerous LEED projects.
